This is a reference translation of the Brazilian version of this Policy. People in Argentina are covered by the Spanish version, which follows Argentine Law 25.326.
This Policy explains how Genuo processes the personal data of people who visit the Genuo website, send the contact form or apply for a job. It follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018, "LGPD").
The Genuo platform has its own rules. Use of the platform, which requires registration and login, is governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use of the Platform, accepted at registration. The processing of personal data on the platform is set out in Annex I of those Terms.
1. Who processes your data

2. What data we process

Genuo does not ask for sensitive personal data. If it appears in a résumé or a message, it is processed only for the purpose of that submission.
3. What we use the data for
- Answering contacts: replying to the message sent through the website.
- Assessing applications: reviewing the résumé for the position and for similar future positions.
- Sending communications about Genuo to business contacts, with an unsubscribe option in every message.
- Website security: preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorized access.
- Complying with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
- Consent (LGPD, art. 7, I): the consent you give when you send the contact form;
- Steps prior to a contract (art. 7, V): assessment of job applications;
- Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX): website security and communications about Genuo to business contacts;
- Compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II).
5. Who we share data with
- With technology providers that process data on Genuo's behalf, such as website hosting and email, under contract and only for the purposes of this Policy;
- With authorities, when required by law or court order.
Genuo does not sell personal data.
6. International transfer
Some technology providers, such as website hosting and email, may process data outside Brazil. In these cases, Genuo adopts the safeguards the LGPD requires for international transfers, such as contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data

At the end of the period, data is deleted or anonymized, except where there is a legal obligation or for defense in proceedings.
8. Cookies
The website only uses essential cookies, needed to work and to remember the language. They are not used for advertising. Genuo does not currently use browsing analytics tools or third-party advertising cookies. If it starts to use them, this Policy will be updated and the website will ask for your choice first. You can delete or block cookies in your browser, but the website may not work properly.
9. Your rights
You can ask Genuo at any time, by writing to privacidade@genuo.com.br, for:
- confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed unlawfully;
- data portability;
- deletion of data processed on the basis of your consent, and withdrawal of that consent;
- information about who we share your data with;
- objection to processing carried out without your consent, when it does not comply with the law.
A simple confirmation is given immediately. A full response is given within 15 days of the request (LGPD, art. 19). To protect you, Genuo may ask you to confirm your identity. You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
10. Security and incidents
Genuo adopts reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely immune to failures. In an incident that may pose a relevant risk or harm, Genuo notifies the ANPD and the affected people, in the manner and within the period set by the regulations.
11. Minors
The website is intended for businesses and their professionals. Genuo does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes
Genuo may update this Policy. The version and date are shown at the top.
